An Eventful Legacy
Founded in 1935 by Cyrus L. Jacobs, Interstate Rental Service Inc. has shaped New England's event landscape. From supporting monumental occasions like the Queen’s 1976 visit to the City of Boston and Martin Luther King Jr.’s 1965 Freedom March at the Boston Common, our legacy is deeply rooted in shaping unforgettable moments.
Since 1970, we've proudly served as the general contractor for the Boston Marathon and have become synonymous with graduation ceremonies across New England. If you've crossed a commencement stage here, chances are it was one of ours.
Commitment to Excellence
Under Cy’s son, Edward Jacobs’ leadership, Interstate Rental evolved from renting searchlights and jukeboxes to providing comprehensive event rental solutions, including tables and chairs and overall event coordination.
The third generation of Jacobs’s, siblings Sam and Laura, continue to uphold the family’s reputation for exceptional service, expertise, reliability, and sustainability.
